Andy Powell is a British & Irish Lion, former Welsh and international rugby union player.

Andy is one of the biggest names on the guest speaking circuit from rugby clubs to corporate events.
With stories about his career in the world of Rugby, including the famous ‘golf buggy’ incident.
Andy holds a level 3 certificate in coaching rugby and has 10 years coaching experience.
Andy is the founder of AP8 Academy- a rugby academy for children. Offering: rugby camps, development days and both individual and group coaching.

AP8 Academy is growing across England and Wales, and we’re looking for passionate, reliable and enthusiastic rugby coaches to join our team.
Founded by former British & Irish Lion and Wales international Andy Powell, AP8 Academy delivers high-quality rugby camps, development days and coaching programmes for young players of all abilities.

Our aim is simple: to help children improve their skills, build confidence and enjoy the game in a positive, professional and fun environment.
We’re Looking For Coaches Who Are:

Confident working with children of different ages and abilities

Professional in their approach

Able to create a fun, safe and structured coaching environment

Keen to be part of a growing academy

Opportunities may be available across both England and Wales, with full-day and part-day coaching roles depending on location.
What We’re Looking For
Coaches should ideally have:

RFU or WRU coaching qualification, or be working towards one
-
Current DBS check, or willingness to obtain one

Safeguarding qualification preffered
-
First aid qualification preferred
-
Right to work in the UK
-
Availability during school holidays and selected weekends
